Bit-Metric Decoding Rate in Multi-User MIMO Systems: Theory

چکیده
Link-adaptation (LA) is one of the most important aspects wireless communications where modulation and coding scheme (MCS) used by transmitter adapted to channel conditions in order meet a certain target error-rate. In single-user SISO (SU-SISO) system with out-of-cell interference, LA performed computing post-equalization signal-to-interference-noise ratio (SINR) at receiver. The same technique can be employed multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) receivers that use linear detectors. Another SINR for physical layer (PHY) abstraction, several PHY blocks like encoder, detector, decoder are replaced an abstraction model speed up system-level simulations. However, MU-MIMO systems non-linear receivers, there no known equivalent which makes both extremely challenging. This issue addressed this two-part paper. part, metric called bit-metric decoding rate (BMDR) proposed SINR, presented. Since BMDR does not have closed form expression would enable its instantaneous calculation, machine-learning approach predict it presented along extensive simulation results.

Random Beamforming in Multi – User MIMO Systems
Wireless communication paradigm has evolved from single-user single-input single-output (SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems to multi-user (MU) MIMO counterparts, which are shown greatly improving the rate performance by transmitting to multiple users simultaneously. The sum-capacity and the capacity region of a single-cell MU MIMO downlink system or the so-called MIMO broad...
متن کاملBit Error Rate Analysis of MIMO Schemes in LTE Systems
In this paper, a Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis is presented for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) schemes in the 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) system. Analytical expressions for the average BER of the system are derived over flat Rayleigh fading channels for two different MIMO schemes as defined in LTE, assuming M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) schemes and are evaluated numeri...
متن کاملLinear and Non-Linear Decoding Techniques in Multi-User MIMO Systems: A Review
Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) supports greater data rate and higher reliability in wireless communication. MIMO technique uses the multiple antennas to achieve high transmission rate. The receiver end of the MIMO consists of linear and non-linear decoding techniques. In this paper we are discussing about the linear and non-linear decoding techniques used at the receiver. Zero forcing (Z...
متن کاملLimited Feedback in Single and Multi-user MIMO Systems with Finite-Bit ADCs
Communication systems with low-resolution analog-to-digital-converters (ADCs) can exploit channel state information at the transmitter and receiver. This paper presents codebook designs and performance analyses for limited feedback MIMO systems with finite-bit ADCs. A point-to-point single-user channel is firstly considered. When the received signal is sliced by 1-bit ADCs, the absolute phase a...
